PRODUCTSProduct GuideSystem 3 - PicklingPickling is a surface treatment to remove high temperature scale produced in welding, heat treatment or hot working.Use Yale System 3 to remove red rust corrosion or iron or steel particles from the surface of the steel.Some degree of dulling and unevenness of the visual brightness may result. Yale MP-B metal polish and brightener should be used to restore the surface finish. System 7 - PassivationPassivation is the removal of free iron from the surface of the steel, restoring the protective chromium layer to the surface.Yale System 7 is a metal passivation gel which will remove surface discoloration, including bluing as a result of heating. Passivation also produces a clean surface for a further treatment, such as plating or painting.Some degree of dulling and unevenness of the visual brightness may result. Yale MP-B polish and brightener should be used to restore the surface finish following passivation treatments.
